Oyster Island and Espiritu Santo Island, Vanuatu

You walk through the bush for about 100m to get to Blue Hole Pools. It is just magical! Here you are, in the bush, snorkelling. You couldn’t see the ocean but it would have been about 50 metres through very thick bush if we were to follow the water out through the creek to the rocky shoreline. It was a beautiful turqoise blue colour and very clear as it is mostly fresh water coming from springs. It is a bit salty towards the end of the blue holes where it goes into the bush via a small creek. There are lots of coloured fish with yellow/black stripes and bright blue ones, plus pretty blue and purple corals.  Select the photo below to see more of the pools.
